Here in our hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, we take three things seriously: college basketball, bourbon, and horse racing. For the first time in 37 years, a Triple Crown hopeful that started his journey at Louisville’s own Churchill Downs competed for and won the eponymous third title that put him among greats such as Secretariat, Citation, and Seattle Slew. With the thrill of victory still heavy in the air, the ECT staff is reminiscing about a recent day the team enjoyed at Churchill Downs.
We understand that a happy and engaged team makes the work day a little easier for everyone, so we were excited to take a little break from the daily grind and come together not as coworkers, but as friends. From the ECT suite under the famous Twin Spires, we laughed and ate and enjoyed the thrill of the races. Well, most of us (some of us were luckier at the betting window than others).
We believe in saying “thank you” to our team for a job well done, and there’s no better way to do that in Louisville than a day at the track. When our employees feel appreciated, we know they are motivated to provide the best service to our customers. Back to work in the ECT offices this week, the ECT family raises a (proverbial!) glass to Triple Crown Winner American Pharoah.
