Inside Security Account Manager
$50,000 – $87,000 / year
Overview
This role will be responsible for estimating security projects and providing support for outside sales team members to increase overall security related sales performance. They are expected to meet performance standards as defined by the vice president of sales, and to be a professional self-starter, able to develop a dependable track record in providing technical sales support. This position is responsible for maintaining regular contact with various team members and to effectively communicate and work with outside sales during all phases and activities related to the pursuit of increased security related business.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform security system take-offs for access control, video surveillance, intrusion, intercom, nurse call, and other security based systems.
- Develop a security system estimating spreadsheet or other estimating tools to develop and complete proposals.
- Support the efforts to acquire any plans, specs, and sequences needed for estimation and design of the system for the project.
- Select appropriate hardware and software products for a given project specification.
- Perform pre-project walk-throughs of prospect and customer facilities to determine security solutions, as required.
- Provide lead generation; make phone calls to qualify potential prospects, set up meetings for security integration outside sales team.
- Identify, qualify and bid potential security plan and spec projects.
- Provide follow up activities related to proposals provided, confirm status and help close deals.
- Support and update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Support the efforts to obtain purchase order from the customer.
- Handle all PIF’s (Project Information Form) to ensure projects are setup properly for execution
- Create job information folders and ensure all the proper electronic documents are placed in the job information folder (JIF).
- Participate in project pass down and customer kick-off meetings.
- Obtain vendor and supplier quotes and potentially work out any discount pricing details.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years of security and/or sales experience
- Ability to demonstrate practical understanding of facility management services
- Ability to perform sales/technical support
- Detail oriented in his/her work ethics
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

- Direct Digital Controls (DDC) experience is preferred, but not required.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Program and Estimating Software.
Outside Technical Sales Representative
Overview
This role is responsible to meet performance standards as set by the VP of Business Development or the Sales Manager, and to be a professional self-starter, able to develop a dependable track record in facility security sales. This individual is responsible for maintaining regular contact with staff, owners and property managers and to effectively communicate to project managers all phases and activities for his / her contracts.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop new clients by identifying, selling and negotiating facility security services for commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
- Prepare and present effective sales proposals to new and existing customers that will develop profitable results.
- Document and follow up leads and referrals.
- Public relations: resolve complaints, problems, provide information and advice.
- Form in-depth partnerships with our customers and anticipate their needs.
- Meet and exceed sales quotas and profit margins.
- Act in “responsible charge” role with clients.
- Confer with staff and customers on all phases of projects.
- Review proposals to evaluate compliance.
- Help direct/route technicians or other staff on projects as needed.
- Attend sales meetings as required.
- Submit reports (expense reports, sales reports, working agreements) in a timely manner.
- Understand, accept and support ECT Services Operating Guidelines, Operational Beliefs and Customer Commitment
Qualifications
- Degree in Business or Marketing is preferred, high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum three years’ sales experience.
- Demonstrate a practical understanding of the facility management services industry and customer service.
- Knowledge of security systems is a plus.
- Solid record of success achieving sales and management commitments.
- Proven ability to develop strategies to identify, pursue and capture new business.
- Demonstrate the ability to access executive level management.
- The ability to multitask and handle a number of projects at the same time.
- Interact with customers, field staff, management and office personnel; build constructive and effective relationships.
- Possess excellent verbal, written, listening, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid license and clean driving record required. (ECT performs background checks and driving license history on all individuals to be hired)
